Huichol Art
Huichol Art is a grouping of traditional styles dating back fifteen centuries in the art of crafts and folk. The artists of this style of art are the Wixárikas People. Huichol Art has a very particular charm: it relates its religion and cosmovision with forms and colors to create a unique aesthetic.
It belongs to the specific religious practice of an indigenous group, Huichol art has different dimensions from those of contemporary art generally found in museums and galleries and can now be found in some of the most renowned Museums and Galleries. The works of Huichol artists are accepted and recognized worldwide. One of the main features of these works is their decoration as it is very striking and colorful, in addition the use of various symbols and sketches that were created several centuries ago.
